“Urban Redux: Model Behavior” is a pop-influenced “new media meets the streets” series of artworks like “New Generation”– but animated as lenticular prints.
Rather than photographing all the original elements as I typically do, I have introduced AI into the creative process to generate very specific descriptive prompts to make the figures, floral elements, background wall textures, paint, etc, then use these components to construct the images.
The series also explores the skin-deep contradiction of beauty, deterioration, materiality, and the latest in software technology in a timeless setting, influenced at every step by the masters and time periods of art history.
